Municipal Economics & Planning works with municipalities of many sizes to develop water and sewer rate structures that are financially adequate, fair, defensible, innovative, responsive and understandable. We are known for our creative problem solving, the quality of our analysis, and the fairness and defensibility of our recommendations. On the rare occasions when our rate structures have been challenged, we have successfully defended them in all cases.

In the closely regulated environment of Wisconsin water rates we work well with the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (PSC) to generate creative solutions and implement them. If your utility has any unusual or complex circumstances we can help you prepare your own proposed water rate study and rate structure, then work with PSC staff to accommodate your circumstances and provide expert witness testimony in contested rate cases.
