Municipal Economics & Planning grew out of a desire to help local governments develop plans and policies that promote high-quality urban development and provide public infrastructure and services in a cost-effective manner. For more than thirty years, our parent division, Ruekert/Mielke has been providing these services to our clients and in 2008, we renamed this team Municipal Economics & Planning in order to highlight our specialized expertise. With backgrounds in economics, financial analysis, public administration, economic development, land use planning and urban development, this wide range of knowledge brings a comprehensive, forward looking perspective to local government issues. Combined with the engineering knowledge of Ruekert-Mielke, this range of expertise is difficult to find in other firms.

Realizing that good plans and policies need to work from more than just a technical standpoint Municipal Economics & Planning's approach takes into account much more than just engineering or accounting requirements. We believe in creating plans and policies that are easy to administer, financially feasible and support the quality of life that people in your community expect.

Original thinking, sound and defendable analyses, and comprehensive approach to interconnected issues have given Municipal Economics & Planning a reputation for excellence.
